Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon receive $868M less provincial social services funding than other regions
An organization representing more than 100 non-profits in the Region of Peel has crunched the numbers and says the provincial government is shortchanging residents, on average, more than $850 million per year for community and social services compared to other regions.
The Metamorphosis Network, which formed last year in response to the province’s now-defunct plan to break up Peel Region into single-tier municipalities, commissioned research and consulting firm Blueprint ADE to perform the study.
