Peel Regional Police have a new eye in the sky.

Thanks to funding from the Ontario government, the service officially launched its new air support helicopter on Wednesday.

Peel police Chief Nishan Duraiappah said the new helicopter will assist officers in locating missing people faster, safely track suspects from the sky and respond more effectively to critical incidents.
