Community of Practice

Organizational Working Group

The Community of Practice of the Collective plays a central role in the Collective’s mission to provide a platform for collaboration, learning, and collective action in combating anti-Black racism across systems.

In addition to knowledge sharing, the Community of Practice of the Collective offers opportunities for professional development and capacity building. It organizes training sessions, workshops, and conferences that enhance the skills and knowledge of educators and administrators, equipping them with the tools to identify and address biases, challenge discriminatory practices, and foster inclusivity.

The committee serves as a hub for fostering connections and building partnerships among individuals and organizations committed to promoting racial justice. By creating a Community of Practice, they facilitate opportunities for collaboration, resource sharing, and mutual support. This collaborative environment allows members to learn from one another's experiences, leverage collective expertise, and amplify their impact through coordinated efforts.

Additionally, the committee provides ongoing professional development opportunities, including training sessions, webinars, and workshops. These initiatives aim to enhance the knowledge and skills of participants in areas such as anti-racism advocacy, community organizing, policy analysis, and cultural competency. By equipping individuals with the necessary tools and resources, the committee empowers them to become effective agents of change within their respective spheres of influence.

By fostering a vibrant and supportive Community of Practice, the committee empowers individuals and organizations to collaborate in challenging and dismantling systemic racism. By strengthening connections, nurturing collaboration, and promoting continuous growth, the committee inspires and supports a diverse network of change-makers dedicated to eradicating anti-Black racism and systemic discrimination.
